NeoConMan
First of the year, every year. Sometimes in the summer as well. Don't think slowing sales will help, they both (Gibson and Brand F) had big jumps this year.
Thundergod
If you buy now they will be cheaper tomorrow... if you plan on buying tomorrow prices will surely rise during the night. That's how it works, you might think you got a great deal but in reality you never win. The good thing is, it prepares you for marriage.
Gitfidl
I paid a big price (for me) for my Hamer BUT .. if I live another ten or 15 years and can play each of those years one year is 10% my time. I saw no reason to wait around until some condition changed. However, the way they are printing money the U.S. is exceeding even Argentina is devaluing the dollar. It will not be long before the Peso is worth more than a dollar. (Yogi Berra said "a nickle ain't worth a dime any more") So prices of things like guitars are BOUND to go up. But when? When they need to buy parts from off-shore (other countries) and the exchange rate is not working. AND everybody has JIT inventories now .. so they run out sooner. So summer may see some changes. 1st of year definitely will see changes. Also if you buy now YOUR dollar is worth much more than it will be by January 1 2010. We're in for some mighty big change.
