dror2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 LP standard 50s, bought a month ago. Pink colour on the bridge. Picture attached. Anyway knows what it is? Thanks, Dror Quote
Rabs Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 What colour is the fluffy stuff inside the case for it? Quote
Pinch Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Looks like plating worn off? Which would be weird. I would ask the seller. All I know is it's not going to turn the E string gay. 2 Quote

kidblast Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 (edited) yea I think is really is probably patina from plating wear. Same kind of wear you'll see on many 80s era Epiphones Edited July 31, 2022 by kidblast Quote
Whitefang Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 I can't imagine the color of the metal under the plating as naturally being pink. And considering skin oils or oxidation I'd figure some other color would show. Whitefang Quote
merciful-evans Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Looks a bit like Copaslip, but I've never known that used on a guitar before. Quote

Sgt. Pepper Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 Some people have acidic sweat that is deadly. Usually after my son plays my guitar I have to change strings a day of two later. Quote

Scott Grove had to change strings mid gig sometimes. Those players have no choice but use coated strings all the time. Quote
