mojofelix Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 I just bought a 2007 Hummingbird/HS. I am looking for information about this guitar. Anyone know: 1. What does HS stand for? 2. Is this a solid spruce top or all laminate? 3. Country of origin is nowhere to be found on the guitar. Anyone know where it was made? Thanks for any input! Best, MojoFelix Quote
mojofelix Posted August 3, 2022 Author Posted August 3, 2022 I called Epiphone and found out that HS stands for Heritage Cherry Sunburst. It has a solid spruce top, laminated hog back and sides, hog neck and rosewood fingerboard. Quote
Brucebubs Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 Not sure where it was made - I had a 2012 EJ-200 which was made in Indonesia (which is where they are still made today) before that I believe they were made in Korea? Quote
cunningham26 Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 that was my first acoustic and i really clicked with it. great guitar for short money Quote
mojofelix Posted August 22, 2022 Author Posted August 22, 2022 Though I have a dozen acoustic guitars costing many thousands of dollars I too am clicking with this Epi. It has a very non-woody chimy tone that is a refreshing change from my Martins. It really shines when rehearsing along with my bass player because the two instruments don't compete for any tonality.
