hbomb76
OK, so I got excited when I saw this one on eBay, thinking "oh wow, Gibson's TRYING to fix the 09's beveling" (although the top horn still lacks some close to the neck, but it's a start, right?): Then I saw another '09 model that's about as bad as the '91/'92 era ones (although it thankfully has retained the '99 tapering upgrade): So what's the deal? Inconsistency? Maybe the "better" one is a more recent addition? Or is the reverse the case? Either way, I'm puzzled and disturbed. Still waiting on that phone call for them to let me give 'em some input on fixing these buggers!!! ;) H-Bomb
jimmiJAMM
I'm still waiting for just the right 60's era SG to drop up to 7K on. That's my limit. Sure, it's a chunk of change but as they say, aint nuthin' like the real thing... baby!
80LPC
Nashville on a '61 reissue ? The top one has strings offset to the treble side. Very bad on a set-neck...
SG dude
80LPC, (sorry about this again) but what the hell are you talking about? i understand nashville.
80LPC
It's a '61 reissue, so it should have an ABR 1 bridge. The Nashville bridge didn't arrive until about 1973.

TinFish
I believe my 61 RI has a Nashville style bridge...? That is a Nashville style bridge, no?

Either way' date=' I'm puzzled and disturbed. H-Bomb[/quote'] I believe the top bevels are the same in both examples only you can't quite see it in the second photo due to the lighting. If you'll notice, that big white highlight is actually reflecting off of the bevel and seems to be to the same degree. Look closely and you'll see what I mean. Perhaps there's hope yet.
