TheLiveSoundGuy
SUPER DOVE! I think I might like it, though I'm not crazy about the big hole cut into the side for the electronics. I have always loved the Dove, and lately I have been gassing for a J-200. Could be the best of both worlds.
ksdaddy
I can't remember the last time I said the word "Schwing!" but... Schwing!! *cough* I'll put that on my shopping list, right underneath the wedding band for Shania......
TheLiveSoundGuy
Californiaman posted a link to Wildwoodguitars in the lounge in regards to a tele he was looking at, and I just happen to find the Super Dove. It does make me wonder though, just how many different model new, acoustics are out there being sold, that we are unaware of. I've never seen this model before, and to my knowledge, it's not on Gibson's website. I know some dealers get certain models that are custom made exclusively for them, so I suppose it could be one of those.

drathbun
They had a Super Dove at our local Long & McQuade here in Calgary, but before I plucked up the courage to get it down from its lofty altitude on the wall, it was sold. Amazing looking guitar I bet is sounds wonderful too!
TheLiveSoundGuy
Apparently they are a new model for Gibson. Fuller's now have one in a natural finish on their website that states it's number 10 of only 12. I bet they're all sold already if there were only twelve made. larryp58
It really must be a new model. I can't find it on the Gibson website. It's really a killer looking guitar. Only 12 made? If they sell really fast, I bet that there will be more to come! (for a price!!!)
Jinder
Oi! Super Dove! Get in my life!!!!! Seriously, that is the heavenly fusion of two of my favourite guitars ever! One minor gripe is that I could take or leave the cutaway, but who would kick Rachel Weisz out of bed for eating crisps (or chips for our star-spangled brethren)? TheLiveSoundGuy
Man I gotta love my wife. She says get it. Truth be told though I'm about $1,300 short in my personal "lunch money" savings, and I really don't want to sell my HD-28V. But I would, if someone "LOCAL" were to show up with oh.. say $1,300. It would be the best deal on a MINT Martin anyone ever got.
ballcorner
I know some dealers get certain models that are custom made exclusively for them' date=' so I suppose it could be one of those. [/quote'] Right now my Long and McQuade dealer has a custom SWD which is a rosewood SWD with J45 appointments. It is really nice - they had 50 made for their chain, 24 are still available. The best part, to me, is this would be available only in Canada - that might be a first.
TWilson
All I can say about that Super Dove with the 'burst is , HOLY CRAP!!!! I agree about the hole in the side for the electronics, don't like that much. (Jinder-It's " wouldn't kick her out of bed for eating crackers." US version. Now kippers, that would be a deal breaker!)
