Mike Lo Bianco Posted August 12, 2022 Share Posted August 12, 2022 I'm finding it almost impossible to establish and find two replacement dome nuts for the trapeze tailpiece of my Gibson B45. I bought the guitar quite a few years ago with the tailpiece badly mended by the previous owner as it looked like one of the dome nuts had pulled off stripping there thread and had been replaced with a makeshift nut. I need these nuts as replacement to the tailpiece once I've cut the longer arm to size but (as the tailpiece seems to be using US imperial measurements) cannot find the right size dome nuts. I've bought some M4 metric which are slightly too big and some HDN 4-40 A2 imperial which are slightly too small...so it looks like I need something intermediate that cannot be found here in the UK. Does anyone know what size dome nuts am I looking for and where I can buy some?
