Gilliangirl
Someone at work this morning was talking about shrimp, and for some weird reason, I remembered a song that I used to love when I was really small. My parents had no problems finding babysitters for me because we were one of the lucky families in the neighbourhood that had a RECORD PLAYER! My babysitters would bring over their Elvis Presley records and we'd listen to Elvis and dance around. As soon as I got home from work this afternoon, I headed over to good old YouTube to see if they had the song. Sure enough, they did. It took me about 10 seconds to get it down on the guitar LOL If you have small children, you should learn this simple little song. I'll bet they'd love it as much as I did...... ballcorner
Funny how times change. If that many young fellows went out in a boat today with slicked back hair and those tight t-shirts I think it would be called a gay cruise.
kazzelectro
He almost threw that ol Harmony overboard. I used to have one just like...cool little solid mahogany guitar from the 60s I think.
Gilliangirl
A gay cruise? I didn't know they had gay cruises. Well ya learn something new every day. :) I tried to post the chords and lyrics to this little song but the font went wild on me. Not sure how to do it? I tried using the CODE function but that just spread them out further. Oh well, my original message stands..... if you have kids or grandkids, try playing this song to them. I'll bet they'll love it. It's just E, B7, and A. Key change up a half-step for the last verse.

TommyK
Thanks Karen for the tip. I'll be learning that one so I can learn it to my grandkids. While I haven't watched that many Elvis movies. This one and one I have on VHS, "Follow That Dream" show Elvis playing Harmony guit tars. Not sure if 'n Elvis had a soft spot in his heart for them of if the props dept was just cheap. Probably didn't make much difference, because I think he recorded the music as a voice-over his own video image. That seemed to be real common in the 50's and 60's. drathbun
Isn't this from "Girls, Girls, Girls" ? It was on TV here a couple weeks ago. I think Stella Stevens was in it.

[/quote'] It's pretty much back to normal, Gary, thanks for asking. It must not have been too serious but it sure hurt for a few days. Haven't gone back to yoga since!
