Is this ES-335 legit?

Might be trading for this Es-335 and I’m just curious at what some others might think. What brought up my initial concern was the lettering on the truss rod cover and the very faint made in USA stamp. I’m an extremely skeptical person and just don’t want to be duped in to a bad trade deal. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

It looks like the year or so when they blackened in under the F-hole area. I never did like that look. Looks like a winner all day long. A 355 is one of the best things Gibson ever produced.

That is the truss rod cover that came on my Satin.

I guess they're afraid you might forget what guitar you bought.

Does one ever really know with Gibson what it is?

Oh you have a J-45, which of the 90 different iterations is it?
