Sgt. Pepper
This got released a month or so ago. I just got it the other day. Its the New Riders Of The Purple Sage. Wonder what that Purple Sage stuff is. It was recorded at the Lyceum on 5/23/72. They opened for these guys, and one girl on the same day. In case you don't know the second CD is The Grateful Dead on the last night of their Europe '72 Tour. Edited October 6, 2022 by Sgt. gearbasher
Purple Sage: You can smoke it. Certain true sages, members of the genus Salvia in the mint family, are referred to as purple sage: Salvia dorrii, also called Ute tobacco sage, Dorr's sage, etc., has showy purple flowers. It is a mild hallucinogen when smoked, and is used in Native American ceremonies and Native American herbal medicine. 1
SteveFord
They put on a free concert at Lancaster, PA about a decade ago - I liked their version of Dead Flowers.

They were a really good band that was forgotten about. Powerglide was a really good album.
gearbasher
I saw them twice in the late 70s. Palladium and The Lone Star Café in NYC. BTW: This live version of "Henry" is one of my favorites.
Sgt. Pepper
Damn the little sad face fairy is here too. I guess he/she or it doesn't like The New Riders or The Dead. Well more for me. Edited October 7, 2022 by Sgt. Pepper
