Calm before the storm

Actually... at the geographical center of the USA, we went through three weeks of weekly blizzards; now there's a flood again threatening to cover the USGS and local granite "center of the us" monument park.

So... it's quiet, but it ain't "before the storm."

Hmmmmm.

Wow, I feel for you. I was in upper MI (way up there) last week and it was snowing. Can't complain here in Buffalo. This is where I'd like to remind everyone that Buffalo does not get as much snow as everyone thinks. No snow in April and only a couple of inches in March (haven't used the snow blower since February!). We've got some nice Spring weather...

I'm gonna throw a porterhouse on the Weber.

Mmmm - sounds good. I'm making chicken enchiladas myself - and drinking margaritas of course.

As for the calm before the storm - just so happens we are under a tornado warning. Not that that is anything new in north Florida.

I headed out the back door and it's raining.

Porterhouse is in the broiler. Darn it.

Bummer! But hey man, get a grill pan... made of iron - goes on the stove top. A reasonable and cheap substitute for grilling when the weather doesn't cooperate. It even makes grill marks!
