RCinMempho
Friend's Dad's old 46-47 Gibson. He thinks it's an L-50, but I think it might be an ES-125. Hoping for more pictures. Any help appreciated. I think he may preparing to sell it. Edited January 13, 2023 by RCinMempho Text content
RCinMempho
Through other sources it seems this is indeed an ES-125 from between 1946-48.
ksdaddy
There was a model called the ES-135 around that time, looked exactly like a 125 but it had trapezoid inlays like yours. Not to be confused with the ES-135 produced in the late 90s/early 00s.

cunningham26
how clean does the cutout on the pickguard look? if it looks a little homebrewed it's likely an L-50 that got electrified. If it's a es-125/135 the pickguard would have been designed and installed with the P90 in mind. I had to make a new one for my L48 that has a p90 installed right at the base of the neck and the existing placement left no room for the lower dog ear. non-script logo would also put it more in the '47 era but if that's the original finish, the banner/'46 years were a lot more orangey brown than later bumblebee years.
