thepatrik Posted April 14, 2009 Share Posted April 14, 2009 Hi! I'm thinking of buying myself a firebird, but the vintage sunburst finish confuses me. On Gibson's website (http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Firebird/Gibson-USA/Firebird-V/Finishes.aspx), the vsb is full of yellow and no red. Doesn't look at all like the old classic firebird sunburst, and web sites i've looked at (http://www.music123.com/Gibson-Firebird-V-Electric-Guitar-517338-i1149303.Music123), show the old sunburst color with lots of red and almost no yellow in it, although it's titled as vintage sunburst.
