TheMoodyBlue
I was wondering if anyone else has encountered a CS-336 with a blue sunburst finish? I recently picked one up in Austin and have been incredibly impressed with this axe, but have never seen any Gibson with this kind of finish. This "blueburst" (you heard that word hear first! :- ) is a truly beautiful finish on a beautiful, and beautiful sounding and playing, axe - it has varying shades of blue in a pattern that is similar to the oranges and browns of a traditional sunburst, but I have never seen anything quite like it before. Has anyone encountered a CS-336 with this finish? It has a figured top and the standard neck taper and layout. I think I may have stumbled into a fairly rare gem and was wondering if anyone can tell me anything about my new favorite axe. Thanks!
clayville
Centre City Music in San Diego had a few blue CS-356s a while back. See the pic of Tommy Shaw from Styx at this link: http://www.ccitymusic.com/
TheMoodyBlue
I appreciate it ! That finish is close, but my 336 is a little darker. Still, that is far and away the closest I have been so far. Thanks bro!
