the guy produced some groundbreaking music but let's face it' date=' he was a nut job. prolly thought he could buy his way out of the charges.[/quote']

The 1965 song "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'", produced and co-written by Spector for the The Righteous Brothers, is listed by BMI as the song with the most U.S. air play in the 20th century.

There was a low-buck documentary on him on PBS back in the mid 80s. Ronnie spoke of how weird he was and the Ramones (still intact then) all said they were generally creeped out by him... basically said they couldn't wait to get the hell out of his house.

The music Spector produced and co-wrote will be considered some of my favorite of all time...I recommend the box set.

According to one interview with Ronnie Spector, she was not allowed to wear shoes in the house, because he was so sure that she was going to run away.

He pulled a gun on The Ramones.

When the trial was going on, one of the women at his house the night of the murder saw him standing at the top of the stairs with a shotgun and hat on...she remarked that he looked like Elmer Fudd.
