6stringTom
Reverend Robert Jones, Sr. : JP Cormier: Carl Smith & Beverly Jones: http://www.smithnjones.net/ David Holt and the musicians with him: The Lonesome Sisters: http://www.lonesomesisters.com/ A lot of my favorite lesser known musicians are great live performers who play in more intimate venues (small clubs and coffee houses, music camps). TommyK
A political statement about a corrupt Tennessee Governor. Sung by Uncle Dave Macon. Seems something similar should be written about another, unnamed, corrupt governor who shall remain nameless. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Io_KIWqjWbI

Jinder
Paul Goodwin is an amazing English songwriter. His album 'Scars' is my favourite of this year, so far. www.myspace.com/paulgoodwin Listen to 'Edinburgh' as an entrée...truly inspired stuff. zombywoof
Never understood why these guys like Curley Weaver and Barbecue Bob Hicks were not near as well know as McTell, Patton and the others. Here are a few others who in a prefect world would be as famous as Robert Johnson. Martin, Bogan and Armstrong whom I had the privilege of seeing a few times in the 1970s when they got back together. Ted Bogan's sock rhythm guitar style is amazing. Here they are jamming with Jethro Burns. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGyL2bsGWaA Black Ace http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qck-s79efuw
