I'll try to get pics and some video (not of me peeing)

For some reason d-e-t-r-o-i-t is a bad word and got *'ed out.

Did Ted Nugent go on his Bigoted tirade during the concert? It isnt a a true Amboy Dukes concert until you have Ted Nugent wielding Machine Guns around spewing dumb pointless nonsense and then have his Moral Crusader Sean Hannity defend his rants.

How did you get so messed up in your short 18 years?

This quote, attributed to Churchill goes:

If a man isn't a liberal by the time he's 21, he has no heart

If a man isn't a conservative by the time he's 29, he has no brain

I'm pretty sure I messed that quote all up. Give the dude some time, he's still young.

Also Ted's not a biggot, don't know where you got that from.

Did the links work, anyone try them?

All national institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian or Turkish, appear to me no other than human inventions, set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit.

Yep.

"Any man who is under 30, and is not a liberal, has not heart; and any man who is over 30, and is not a conservative, has no brains."

Me thinks that he was trying to be funny (as he often did) whilst calling attention to a peculiarity of the human condition. Obviously one's political persuasions do not change on one's 31st birthday. Yet we do expect liberalism of the youth and conservatism of the aged.

One of my favorite humorous Churchill quotes I heard from a history teacher of mine. I cannot vouch for it's accuracy, but ...

When a speech editor chastised Churchill for ending is sentences with a preposition, he reportedly replied...

"That is the sort of thing up with which I shall not put."

Well put, sir!

I hope you know Thomas Paine was a Deist, He absolutely despised religion to the point that Teddy Roosevelt would call him a "Filthy little Atheist".

If Thomas Paine was alive today he would be hated by you Conservatives and probably would be ridiculed and called Anti American by the GOP.

"The Christian religion is a parody on the worship of the sun, in which they put a man called Christ in the place of the sun, and pay him the adoration originally payed to the sun." Thomas Paine

"I do not believe in the creed professed by the Jewish church, by the Roman church, by the Greek church, by the Turkish church, by the Protestant church, nor by any church that I know of. My own mind is my own church" Thomas Paine

Thomas Paine: Skeptic, Deist, Radical, and Revolutionary

"It is from the Bible that man has learned cruelty, rapine and murder; for the belief of a cruel God makes a cruel man."

-- Thomas Paine

"Of all the tyrannies that afflict mankind, tyranny in religion is the worst. Every other species of tyranny is limited to the world we live in, but this attempts a stride beyond the grave and seeks to pursue us into eternity."

-- Thomas Paine

  • 2 weeks later...

I think Ted is a solid rocker, but his status as superstar is more hype then reality. His politics always make me chuckle a bit and I do like to hear him talk, but I can't take much of it seriously.

I would probably go see him play music, but I'd rather see whole lot of other folks first.

But, that's just my opinion.

I'm sure it will be a good show. Have fun.
