crossroadsnyc
I love locking tuners like the ones on my Strat ... they're great. I voted for Vintage here though because I just love the look.

Thundergod
Kluson. They just look right IMO... give both LP and SG a very vintage look.
NeoConMan
Grovers. More mass in them, much more durable. They weigh twice as much as Klusons or other vintage types, I've seen too many break. I swapped them on my LP Classic, I'm not sure it's worth the effort, but Grovers are my preference.
chengin
+1 for Grovers. My LP custom has them, and I was happy camper when I saw that the Epiphone Sheraton I bought a few weeks ago came with them also. I tried a 4K reissue a while ago and it had the vintage/plastic tuners which just feel way too flimsy in comparision...I still can't get over that, you buy a cheap guitar (which i'm loving) that has them as standard, you pay top dollar and you get stuff that just feels cheap in comparison. Ok, I know its a reissue so you could argue it should have them, but I really dislike them..

BIGBENDS
I like 'em both for different reasons. The Tulip tuners look great, but I don't like the feel when tuning. Maybe it's the different gear setup and the plastic feel. The Grover's feel sweet when tuning, precise and smooth, but don't have that hand crafted look. The locking Schaller's on my Strat Plus have a nice feel like the Grover's. I like the locking feature, but I wouldn't change tuners on my Gibson guitars. pippy
I hate Grovers on an LP. I had an LP with a set and they worked just fine but I really don't like the look or feel of them at all. That same LP was also neck-heavy which may be down to the increased mass at the end of the headstock. Just my viewpoint. I know Grovers are very good indeed - just not my thing. The Mick
If I had a Les Paul that didn't get used at gigs every night I would probably leave the Klusons on But I find them to loose and fragile for power rock shows.
TinFish
I voted "Kluson". I have a guitar with each. I agree the Grovers feel a lot more substantial and sturdy, but I just love the look of Klusons. As fragile as the Klusons appear I have never broke one or had any problems with one.
