Les Paul Money Bass trussrod question

Hello there, Gibson lovers

I just got my hand on a 2007 GOTW blue Money bass. Weird instrument but sounds killer!

My concern is the trussrod nut. It’s definitely not the usual trussrod with the brass nut but more like dual action with a Allen key nut (Fender kind). The nut is very thin and long and is taking a lot of space in the cavity. The tool is not provided but it seems I’m looking for a short arm Allen and yet I can’t really figure the exact size. Does anyone know what I’m looking for and where to find it.

thanks in advance on your help

Thomas

I’ve never seen a nut quite like yours. Could be that somebody stripped the brass nut & made one with an Allen wrench end. Many of us either are or know somebody that is in the machine trades.

Apparently, it is the the stock nut! Trogly has done a review of that bass at the beginning of the year and raised the issue very quickly

I used to dislike Trogly until someone pointed out to me that he actually sold the guitars he reviewed.

I thought he bought a new Gibson every week and then just sat on them like a billionaire hoarder.
