I was just reading about this announcment of new signature Page guitar made I think at NAMM 2009. Could anyone explain to me how you go about getting one of these if you had the money when they are released? I understand that there is not any final info or price that I could find. But if I had the money, how would I get one? Are there waiting lists.? I am doing this out of frustration. I was a friend of the late Twiggs Lyndon who was Allman Brothers road manager and manager of Dixie Dreggs(Twiggs brother Skoots has been Steve Morse's guitar tech for over 20 years). I got to play the original Duane guitar that Gibson copied and was later presented to Duane's daughter and is now in R&R HOF. I missed this guitar copy sale and now I will never afford one. I want to get in one one of these good models like Page #2. Any advice to an old roadie turned NYC attorney please. Thanks.

Only kidding. I was lucky enough to own one of the Murphy aged Page No1 Les Pauls for a few years. Great guitar. Looked and felt like a battered 58 Les Paul. The only problems I found were the thinned neck is very strange when you switch from a normal chubby Les paul neck. Also the high value of the guitar meant that you were paranoid about taking it anywhere or even playing it after a few beers in case of disaster. I sold mine. Here in the UK Gibson have cut back on the number of dealers, so special guitars like the Page or the current Bloomfield LP only surface in a few shops. There are some Bloomfields on sale over here now. I suggest you contact the top Gibson dealer in NY and place an order or at least register your interest. That way you shouldn't miss out.

Thanks for input. I am former roadie who went to law school late which means I'll be paying student loans when I am still 65 years old. (lol) I play but no that great. I have a strat and also a couple of collectable guitars given me by friends from bands Alabama and E Street. I am not rich but would like to invest in guitar. Friend Joe Don Rooney was the spokeperson for the Dark Fire so I should have looked at that. But I love these signature relic guitars. Because I had a direct connection to Duane's guitar through Twiggs, I wish I had one of those. For investment purposes, what would you do? Would you jump on this new Page guitar when it comes out. And yea I have young kids so I'm gonna have to secure an area in the house away from the crayons. Thanks again for input. I am trying to educate myself.

My guess is it's too late and that if you actually wanted one, you should have gone to a Gibson dealer months ago and ordered one. Think about it, every Zeppelin freak, baby boomer will want one of these. I'm sure a few of them will find their way onto eBay and they'll go for a lot more than the sticker price. Another option would be to check with the forum dealers at the Les Paul Forum & My Les Paul.

Try calling Wildwood. If its coming they will know about it and would be getting it I reckon. They seem to get all the good stuff in there. Steve is very helpful and should be able to advise on this. I got my Page Black Beauty here. The #2 looks good but I don't think I can sneak another one at that price into the house without my wife needing you to represent me if she spotted it.
