Californiaman Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Please feel free to leave your comments if you're familiar with any of these. I do want to get something that I can use both at home and on stage. Thanks for you help.
Cruznolfart Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I figured out how to use the digitech jam-man with little difficulty. If I can do, anyone can. It is virtually unlimited with its expandable memory and footswitch. And built solid.
Thundergod Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 BOSS loop station... I've owned both the twin pedal version and the single pedal version and they are great, I can only imagine how great the pedalboard version is... (but it is too expensive for a loop station). I liked the single pedal version over the twin, less room in the pedalboard, but both work perfectly. EDIT: I just noticed I have writen "vox loop station" instead of BOSS... fixed.
Californiaman Posted April 18, 2009 Author Posted April 18, 2009 Have you considered the Line 6 JM4 Looper? I didn't know that they made one. How is it?
TinFish Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I don't mean to hi-jack this thread, but I am also in the market for a loop station so I am interested in how it turns out. I would be using it strictly at home and as a song writing tool as apposed to live usage if that influences anything. Again, sorry to Californiaman, I don't mean to hi-jack your thread.
MReynolds Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I didn't know that they made one. How is it? Well considering I don't own one...yet...I was looking at the ones you listed, but I think when I finally get one it'll be the Line 6. Check out their web site.
retrosurfer1959 Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I use the Boss 2 pedal version and no complaints at all works exactly as advertised. the single pedal is a great size but was a little more limited than I wanted.
Californiaman Posted April 18, 2009 Author Posted April 18, 2009 I don't mean to hi-jack this thread' date=' but I am also in the market for a loop station so I am interested in how it turns out.I would be using it strictly at home and as a song writing tool as apposed to live usage if that influences anything. djroge1 Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I don't know enough about them to vote or voice an opinion other than what I've heard. I met a guy who did a show with one about two weeks ago - fabulous the way he used his Boss. However, before our conversation I was considering the Jam man since that is what Chet Atkins used in a particular song I like of his.
TinFish Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 That's all right. You didn't hijack my thread. I think we both realize the need for such a creative tool. Awesome! Does anyone else have any experience with loop stations?
Californiaman Posted April 19, 2009 Author Posted April 19, 2009 Echoing TinFish's question, "Does anyone else have any experience with loop stations?"
Thundergod Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 What exactly do you wanna know about them? I have some experience with them, but not much: plug, record, play it over and over and over... :-
TinFish Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I guess I'd just like to know about some of the different features(anything in addition to what is on their websites). Maybe any problems people have had with either pedal or if they are constructed poorly. Did either of them stand out to people a a clearly better loop station etc.
Thundergod Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I have only used 2 of the BOSS models, and they were built like all boss pedals, to withstand a nuclear blast at ground zero... really, my single sized fell off a balcony (not my doing) and got some scratches but no dents and still works as new.
Californiaman Posted April 19, 2009 Author Posted April 19, 2009 So no one has experience with the Echoplex from Gibson? I would think there was someone on this forum who can tell us a little about it.
Thundergod Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I was going to ask the same... strange, isnt it? after all, this is the gibson forum...
