keith dixon Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I purchased a guitar from a cousin the is supposed to be a Gibson. It is a beautiful guitar with enlay around the base , V shape enlay on the back, rectangular pearl enlay on the neck. It has Gibson posted on the inside on a decal but does not Gibson on the neck nor can I find a serial number. This guitar was probably purchased in the sixties or early seventies for my aunt. Could anyone tell me fake or not. It does have enlay around the entake of guitar. Please help. Thanks, keith

AXE® Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 How much did you pay? Is it supposed to be a Les Paul? Is a serial number stamped or inked on the back of the headstock? C'mon work with me here...

Does the sticker inside give a model number? I'm not a scholar on Gibson acoustics, especially 60's models, but I would think the headstock should have the Gibson logo.
