Californiaman Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Californiagirl is big on setting goals and imagining yourself reaching them. So... in the spirit of pleasing my wife without going into debt to achieve my goals, I'm opening up an Ebay account this week. I'll start off selling my enormous Sports Card Collection and move onto other things from the garage. If you're into sports memorabilia or know someone who is and looking for something special, PM or Email me. My goal is this beautiful '62 Custom Telecaster RI.
brundaddy Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 I gotta say I don't 'get' Telecasters. But that minty seafoam kaopectate green one may have me coming around. Cool as all hell, dude.

Mr. Robot Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Californiaman - I am already there. I have 16 items on ebay - my ticket to my first ever Les Paul I am selling things that I never thought I would ever sell. Things i have collected - I never knew they would appreciate in value. But it is a long haul. It is very exciting watching the bidding on your items, but it is hard work putting them up, valuing them and posting them - not to mention the inane questions you will be asked along the way. I have one item on ebay. It says :PICK UP ONLY: DONCASTER EAST AREA. If I had a dollar for every time some idiot asked me where I lived. AAAAGH!!! But hey - I have never seen a tele that color - GO FOR IT!!!!
Thundergod Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 I like it very much... you know you'll have to post pics (lots of) once you get her dont you?
KSG_Standard Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Good luck on reaching your goal brother! That is a beautiful Tele...I really like the way they look with the double binding.
heymisterk Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Amazing guitar. Every time I hear Keith fire up his Tele, I want one....
Californiaman Posted April 20, 2009 Author Posted April 20, 2009 Thank You for your comments. People keep telling me I have more potential than I'm currently showing. Working as a substitute does not pay well over the course of a year. It's time to explore other avenues. I've always been told that I have a real Entrepreneur Spirit so I'm going to give the Ebay thing a whirl. And that Telecaster just screams style and elegance in my opinion. It's beautiful.
Boston004681 Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 I love the Tele; especially in the sea foam green. PUKE GREEN!!!!
djroge1 Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Sweet looking guitar - I'm sure you'll love it. I've been thinking about doing the same thing with some stuff in our garage - it's time to start cleaning and selling. My wife sells craft things of ebay all the time.
Californiaman Posted April 20, 2009 Author Posted April 20, 2009 If I were to do any modifications to the sea foam green telecaster, it would be a humbucker in the neck and that would be all.
Murph Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 When I decided to quit smoking, New Years day, '08, my goal was to put $35.00/ $40.00 a week in my desk drawer, just like I would spend it on cigarettes. I did. I bought my ES-339 for what I spent on cigarettes in 1 year. They were $25.00 a carton in Ky back then. NOW THEY ARE LIKE $45.00 A CARTON. I should have waited. I could have bought a figured! Ha...... Best of luck, pal. Murph.
Californiaman Posted April 20, 2009 Author Posted April 20, 2009 That's a great story. That's the way you do it. Give up one vice for a new addiction; Guitar.
