Buzzing on 1st 3 frets... G, B, and E strings

Probably a good idea, sounds like the frets might be a little high.

Another possibility is that the slots in the nut are cut too deep or have worn down.

In the mean time, raising the bridge a bit on the side of the G, B and high E string might help.

hey yall! im reading these replies to him & he doesnt know how to do any of this stuff himself. i know its not "worn down" though because its only a month old.

i posted recently about our high humidity here & we have been having highs in the 80's & lows in the 30's. (sometimes in the same day)

A quick Google search of "truss rod adjustment" will give many good results with a lot of detail.

Basically it sounds like the neck might need just a little more relief. This would mean slightly loosening the truss rod with the tool that came in the guitar case. It shouldn't need any more than a 1/8 turn in the counter clockwise direction.

so how do you go about learning to do the things suggested?

I would also recommend this book. Also, get a cheap guitar (like $50), take it apart, put it back together, rewire it, adjust the neck, and generally just beat it up. It's a great way to learn about things. Finally, listen to EVERYTHING that AXE® and RichCI say to do about anything related to guitars...

When I bought my LP I had the same fret buzz issue. I had a professional set up done 2 months ago. Problem solved. Now it is starting to do it again. I keep my LP in its case when not in use. Could constant case storage lead to this problem?

No but Temp Changes lead to Truss rod and intonation adjustments with soft necks in Mayhogany. Learn to eye ball the low "E" string fretted at the 1st and 12th frets for proper and generous amounts of "Neck Bow" and Get a Korg GT-4 Tuner (about 30 bucks) a good cheep strobe tuner that works Great and always check your intonation until it settles-in

Always check and readjust as required. Somehow it seems sitting in their case's for a while, when I go to grab my Gibbys the neck seems to relax at times (goes flat). Soft resonant Mayhogany for-ya.

Hang-in-em by the neck for some reason, that just don't happen.
