callen3615 Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Obama wants to cut budget by 100 million dollars. Too bad the interest on the stimulus package is 95 MILLION A DAY!
Bowdiddley Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Yeah I read the $100 Million is 1/35000th of the stimulus! Nice to know the politicians are cutting back in this down economy also.:-
charlie brown Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 LOL!!!!! What that guy needs, is a Muslim "haircut!" I think it starts at about mid-neck level? ;>) CB
callen3615 Posted April 20, 2009 Author Posted April 20, 2009 LOL!!!!! What that guy needs' date=' is a Muslim "haircut!"[/quote'] Isnt that called a turban??? Sorry if that came off alitte buddy light.
charlie brown Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Well, between his "advisors" (AKA "Handlers") and his "No Experience, Whatsoever," that kind of policy and/or attempt at humor(?) can only get worse...IMHO. ;>b CB
Riffster Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 We have been in a mess for a while, most of us just did not know it for sure until 2 years ago. There seems to be a lot of money going out to all of places with Obama, I also wonder if McCain would have done anythig significantly different. He was after all the only other option we had.
AXE® Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 I'm glad politicians don't come around here telling us how to play guitars... or do they ?
Riffster Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 I'm glad politicians don't come around here telling us how to play guitars... or do they ? I'll take any good advice I can get even if it is from the Devil himself, or politician, same thing...
callen3615 Posted April 20, 2009 Author Posted April 20, 2009 Devil himself' date=' or politician, same thing...[/quote'] +1
charlie brown Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Yeah, I don't know if it (really) matters much, who's "President," anymore??! It's who controls the money... Or, as "Deep Throat" warned: "Follow The Money!" That's who really wields the "power!" The rest of us, unfortunately, are just along for the ride. As much as, we might wish or like to think, otherwise. We have tried, to "vote the bums out," for decades...and all we end up with, is a different set of "bums!" Don't know if McCain would, or even could, do otherwise. "Differently," maybe? But, this "New World Order," seems to be more Orwellian, than anything else...IMHO. ;>( CB
James Allen Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Well, he did bow to the Saudi King, which, keep in mind, is the keeper of the Wahabi sect of the Muslim faith. The Wahabi sect is the sect that Osama bin Laden and most of the homicide bombers are members of. Then, he comes home and basically cuts what amounts to less than a penny out of the biggest budget spending bill in the history of the WORLD. This right after giving a really fly handshake to Hugo Chavez down in Mexico. Hell! It all makes sense if you just think about it. He's trying to bring about the end of our society as we know it. PS I'm a PROUD right wing nut job. It's better than the alternative.
Duende Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 LOL!!!!! What that guy needs' date=' is a Muslim "haircut!" I think it starts at about mid-neck level? ;>) CB[/quote'] Hi CB What is wrong with a Muslim haircut? Matt
heymisterk Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Obama wants to cut budget by 100 million dollars. Too bad the interest on the stimulus package is 95 MILLION A DAY! How much has the Iraqi war cost us? How many people have died? What have we gained? Yeah, that's what I thought. I had no idea a Gibson forum would have so many people who are unable or unwilling to look at the Big Picture. My guess is that most of you tightwads got a TAX CUT under the stimulus plan. Obama has restored credibility to The White House. I have no idea if he'll keep that credibility, but I'm willing to give him a chance. Regarding shaking hands with Chavez? Good: A basic tenet of foreign policy is to keep your friends close, your enemies closer. You're pissing on the wrong tree if you don't think Obama knows what Chavez is about. Fact: Clinton balanced the budget; Bush ran up record deficits. All this right-wing nonsense and cavalier talk of decapitating the President makes me sick, and ashamed to be American. Ironically, the budget crisis was caused by the lack of regulation most of of you would have opposed, saying it's government interference. Right-wingers always want to talk about "too much government." Except, of course, when it comes to individual freedom; then we deserve none. Wake up, fellas.
The Mick Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Well' date=' he did bow to the Saudi King, [/quote'] thats called being polite. I bet you would be pisses if a diplomat came over here and wouldn't shake hands politely with our president. Hmm ?

[/quote'] :) :) Fact: Clinton balanced the budget; Bush ran up record deficits. Fact: Clinton balanced the budget by making cuts in throughout all of the Dept of Defense to the point that there was not enough people to collect, analyze, and report intelligence to stop all real world threats in a real time manner Therefore, Bush ran up the deficit to pay for the war brought on by 9/11 which would have most likely been prevented had Clinton not made the cuts.
Riffster Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 All this reminds me of the girl that eats a lot of twinkies and wonders why she is fat. If you have a car that runs on gas, especially a lot of gas you are bowing to the Saudis. You are putting money in their hands. Shure driving an 8-cylinder car is your right as an American, is it patriotic? what do you think?
FirstMeasure Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Good to see the Right Wing is still having Tea Parties (only this is the kind little girls have). You don't like what the President is doing or how he's doing it, vote against him. But you'll just have to sit back and Take it for 4 years. Whining about every little move he makes everyday is getting tiresom.

Jesus Is Dead In My Basement Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 thats called being polite. I bet you would be pisses if a diplomat came over here and wouldn't shake hands politely with our president. Hmm ? I remember the Right wing nutjobs got angry when all the world leaders refused to shake George Bushes hand.

It had nothing to with budget cuts.

I worked at NSA when 9/11 happened and I was there for many high level briefings afterwards and I read the finalized reports. I used to compile daily intell briefings for the pentegon. I don't have to read someones book who is making a guess about policies because I was there.

CIA mid-east/Bin-Laden wonk. He doesnt spare the Clinton administration though, pretty much lays plenty of blame on those years. Has much disdain for the Bush administration, too. Seriously you should check out his books. I'd love to hear your take on them, especially since you were there.

And turn about is fair play. Oh, yeah. The Democrats were so right about what we were complaining about it's not funny.
