Basshole Posted April 21, 2009 Share Posted April 21, 2009 First off not talking about our dem00n Ok so Ive been somewhat watching these youtube videos of the Gene's bass solo and John's bass solo. If you look at the comments you can see what people are saying about gene. ok, lets get one thing straight. Gene is the biggest hack, I know garage bassist who can play better than he can. He is just playing that typical blues bass harmoney somewhat fast. BUT gosh he looks cool doing, he is getting the crowd involved and he is ruuning all over the place. Thats cool, He is entertaining and the crowd is feeding off that Now you look at John Wow, he is doing some crazy things on bass, he has great tone, and he has great super technical ability. But he is stiff as plank of wood. The crowd is most likely a bunch of bassists trying to learn a thing or two *sarcasim*.
