normal_man
A friend of mine is given a "Gibson Angus Young SG" and he considers buying it. But i highly suspect that it is a fake. Could you give me an idea please? These are the high resolution pics: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1YCB-dSRV1o7DeV4GLFrtRfLDZMV8HLPR?usp=sharing And these are my findings: - Serial number is not 8 digit (AY 010) and it's not stamped, it's painted. And there no "Made in U.S.A." writing. - The fret bindings do not over the edge of the frets. - There is a painting mistake close to the neck pickup. - Pickup switch base is black instead of cream. - The lightening bolt inlays an are not gradual. - The hardcase surface rubs off easily. axe-victim
I suspect you already know the answer, but if you need further verification, it’s a real fake.

Yeah sure : ) I think it’s a good example of what a fake gibson is.
