If you get what you want from your guitar...and you don't have to beg for it or break your back for it...why on earth would you name it after a woman? Just sayin'

Naming a guitar is a very personal matter. (I do not name mine by the way)

I think instead of asking for name suggestions you should ask for sources of inspiration.

Do you have a favorite female aritst?

Do you have a favorite movie?

Do you have a favorite book?

Do you have a favorite TV show?

A favorite historical figure?

Any of those would work as a source of inspiration.

You're an idiot' date=' your parents must be proud...[/quote']

I named my "object" my most beloved, and trusted Blue Bomber, my acoustic "object" is called No Name, my mandolinic "object" is called Mr. Johnson, and I haven't named my Strat yet. All these named objects...I don't feel gay.

now thats a way to answer... i looked for the definition of gay and found nothing like ' he who gives names to objects"

i have a name for the J45 by the way : Miss Melia (Eric Claptons wife)

if that means i"m gay, **** you !!

thx for you input gibson lovers !

It's funny, but back when I was a kid, "gay" meant you were happy, in a good mood, on the up, things like that. So I guess in that context, if I name my "objects", and it makes me happy, then by golly, I guess I am gay, I must REALLY be gay, because all but one of my "objects" is named...hmm...

I have given some of them women names, some of them don't have names at all... When I sell most and have a luthier build one great guitar for me ith that money, I will call that guitar Princess, as that's how I reffer to my fiance most of the time (I know it's cheessy but I just love that perfect woman, best thing that ever happened to me)
