Sheepdog1969 Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 It is currently just after 11pm on 8/23/23, seven miles south of the WI border in far northwest McHenry county IL. The air temp is 84 degrees with 76% humidity, with a "Real Feel" temperature of around 88 degrees. This is actually relatively "cool" compared to the highs today, which were around 100 degree air temps, 80+% humidity, and over 110 degree "real feel" temperatures. Tomorrow is expected to be hotter! As Mathew Broderick's character said in Neil Simon's play Biloxi Blues, "It's Africa hot!". 1 Quote
IanHenry Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 It's raining here and has been most of the summer, so that's a real bummer. Quote
ksdaddy Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 This has not been a good summer. I didn’t even pull my deck furniture out of storage. Quote
Murph Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 We've broken or tied "dew point" temps here several times this week, making the humidity and heat index pretty unbearable. The heat dome is about to move back west where it belongs, so everything will be back to normal in a few days. Quote
merciful-evans Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Hot and dull in Hampshire today. The last couple of days were bright. Not great walking weather. Quote
Sgt. Pepper Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 (edited) It’s been in the high 80’s to low 90’s all summer here in Little River, SC. Plus we got more moronic Trumpers in golf carts than Florida. Love it here. And no legal weed. F this place. Edited August 25, 2023 by Sgt. Pepper Quote

Murph Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 A perfect 56 in Southern Il. this morning. The forecast shows it struggling to break 90 for the next week, meaning summer is over here. Finally. Quote
Larsongs Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 After Hillary here in Palm Springs, Ca. it’s been in the 90’s & 100’s with mid 60% Humidity! Pretty miserable! Definitely not normal! Quote
