SG200

I have a gibson that my wife bought for me in 1966 used along with a gretch amp for the lofty sum of $100. I have been doing some research to identify it but I am confused. It looks a lot like a vintage SG200 except the body is not beveled. It has an inked SN of 956820 along with Made in the USA. Because the guitar was already used in 1966 I am thinking it was made in 1959 based on the serial number. But, the SG200 was not made until the early 70's. I am confused. I have a pretty good image but cannot figure out how to attach it!!

Thanks for you reply 80LPC. I also thought it a 200 but I did not think they were made before 1971. I bought this one used in 1966.

You mentioned that you thought is was a '59.  I think SGs were only available from 1960 on.  (?)
