vcartier Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 For some reason, the neck on my ES 339 seems to be a bit sticky. I can't work the neck fast like I can on my Martin Acoustic or any of my Teles! Is there some kind of treatment I need to do to allow my hand to slide more quickly like it does on my other guitars?
Tim Plains Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Sticky necks are common on Gibson electrics. It should go away on its own over time or you can try speeding it up by using something like Gibson Pump Polish each time you put the guitar away.

The more you play it, the faster it goes away. I let mine hang out in smokey bars at least 1 night a week too. That helps.
