I just picked it up, it's the wine red finish and I LOVE the look of it. I picked it up on the way to work, so I won't be able to fiddle with it until tomorrow.

Beautiful guitar. I'm a beginner and have a low end strat, but I grabbed this because this is what I was going to eventually upgrade to and I happened upon a sweet deal, so figured I'd better snatch it while I can.

Rock on Everyone.

Congrats man! I believe you will love your Robot guitar. If you have any issues look through some of the older posts here, I believe just about anything that could happen has been covered here. Dont take that as a negative, I think the vast majority of owners are 100% satisfied with their Robot guitars. It seems alot of people dont get on forums when they are happy, just when they wanna complain or have a problem. Welcome and hope you love your Robot guitar as I do mine!

Charge it with a short top quality cord no longer than 12". You will love the tone from this guitar and not regret getting it. It is something you will be proud to play with anybody. Don't let others play your Robot. They do not understand the damage they can do just by trying to turn the tuners. Unless you know they will listen to you and respect it.

Ah yes, thank you for reminding me. I forgot to pick up a cable while I was there. The cable I have at home is quite long. I'll have to grab one tomorrow. In the meantime, can I still charge it with a long cable, or will I risk damaging it somehow?

It seems I may have a problem. Fiddling with it a bit here at work, I'm finding that the tuning peg on the D string is not moving. When I strum that string, the light turns yellow, which is supposed to happen when the peg is tuning, but it doesn't turn and there's no sound from the motor. All the other strings work perfectly.

I thought at first it might be because it wasn't charged, but the charge is currently at 5/10.

Any ideas?

You should do a full charge before fooling around with it. Get that new cable and do it right. You have too much invested to be foolhardy. Once it is done right post back and let us know if you still have problems. I know you are excited but think it thru and follow the instructions for plugging the charger in in the manual.

Also you may have to clean the tuner contacts, and verify the tuner is mounted correctly on the headstock and making good contact with the thin black PC board on the headstock.

After the charge. the string was still not tuning, the peg was all the way in, checked it several times, however eventually I pulled it out and pushed it back in and now it works. Perhaps there's a sensor in there that requires a pull/push to reset if it's tripped. In any case, she's working great and sounds great too.

It's amazing what a quality guitar can do. Honestly, I suck pretty bad right now, but I sould ten times better playing this guitar over the old one. Makes it much more interesting, and fun!

Good, I am genuinely pleased it was a false alarm!

Congratulations and welcome to the Robot club.

Chances are it was hung up and not all the way in. Pulling it and pushing it back in probably gave you the clearance for it to engage all the way. Enjoy! You can only get better now. Stick with it and practice practice take lessons practice practice.
