jdgm
I was unaware of Rich Hinman and his playing until a few nights ago when this track was played on (surprisingly) UK's BBC Radio 3 - the classical station. It is a heartfelt tribute to the late great Buddy Emmons; short, stately and exquisitely played. Hear how the data compression (or whatever you call it) sort of fudges up the reverb in the break at 1 min 40, near the end; but it also brings out what he is doing with the pedals and levers very clearly. The backing seems to be simply harmonium and some bass and it all works just beautifully. May I wish everyone here a very Happy and prosperous New Year 2024. 🎵 Edited December 30, 2023 by jdgm
10PoundLester
Beautiful! I would have loved to learn to play this instrument but I simply am not smart enough. Edited December 30, 2023 by 10PoundLester
