Too bad. I played a gig at an open mic last weekend (no pay). Played 5 songs and didn't get booed off the stage (or corner of the bar as the case may be). Had a blast, first time in front of an audience in over 20 years. Now we have the bug, and are going to try to practice and play a little harder, so we can actually get paid!!!

Yep I've gotten off to a bad start this year I have gotten a few older ones a 68, a 77 (black) a 71 Recording model and just picked up a Traditional Pro. Sold a few though so it's not all bad.

Met Rohit for lunch the other day, he ordered a 50th Anniversary 59 in Lemon and picked up an Explorer.

They've moved a lot of nice guitars over the last couple months - before I could find a way to buy them. Dammit!

 

Mike told me yesterday they are doing their Gibson reauthorization order in a few weeks, curious to see what that yields.

 

 

 

Yeah, as stated above, the political threads can be a minefield.

Man, it's good to hear from the old gang. Things have been going great. Up to my eyeballs in flight testing. We are in full blown flight test mode now with our new helicopter. Thats a good thing, it'll keep my GAS funded.

Good to talk to you Neo, I was out there a couple of weeks ago, pretty sure I found my next one when I was there, just have not had the time to get back. But since they are going to get another Gibson order in, I might have to see what comes out.

I did, but thats not a bad thing, I sold it to a guy I work (and jam) with, so I am still getting time with her. I'm really digging my Custom though. She is a real dream to play.

 

So Retro, does getting 4 guitars constitute a bad year? How many did you let go? I'm wanting a 68 so bad. Just have not found the right one yet, but I know there is one out there with my name on it.

 

I believe I'm going to take everyones advice and just avoid anything political. So I believe I'll stick around for a while.
