I tried looking everywhere on the net for info that I'm looking for. I can't find it anywhere so this is in fact the best place to get the info I need every time... (so Thanks to everyone on here)

(my question)

Is the 2007 Studio chambered? I have the chance to trade my 2002 S.L. Humbucker special for a 2007 Studio.

I just wanted to know if the 07's are chambered. The 2002 special just seems more beefy or stronger than the studio.

The 2002 is somewhat like the Jr's it doesn't have the carved maple top. It still feels stronger or more substantial.

Thanks...

Oh or I can trade it for a 98' Blues Hawk.

This is my main guitar so I really need to

be picky here. I wish I could just buy the

guitar I really want but hey, I still have a

Gibson right? ? ?

It's not a football player ! DON'T go by all the crap you hear and read about chamber this and Swiss cheese that ! Play it and if YOU like the sound/tone................. WHO GIVES A S#%$ if it's made out of balsa wood.

It would have been SOOOOOOOOOOOO nice if Gibson never even WHISPERED that they did the chamber job :-

O.K., I'm done whining almost, I have a 2007 Studio and I LOVE IT !!!! ( and I don't even have to use the C word in the statement because...........it just don't MATTER!)

Remember the pickups are different in each one and that will affect your tone. If you want a heavy hunk of wood, the Special is it. The Blues Hawk has Blues Single Coils 90s not P 90s which are less powerful than the HB but lots of fun with a varitone. NO hum. They dont seen as powerful though, at least to me. The Studio will have a bigger neck if your Special is like my 2003 Fadded Special. Many factors to consider. Good luck, they are all good choices.
