Thundergod Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 NON GUITAR RELATED, but I thought some of you might like them Just uploaded some pics from tuesday... Thundergal was a little tired so I decided to cook for her... I asked what she wanted and, having lots of gourmet, international, and "tipic" (national) options, she finally decided for hamburgers (good for me, less to do). So I'm done cooking them and make one more so she can take it the day after for lunch at work, she walked in and asked me why I was taking pics... I told her the truth, I was going to post them here (what a shame, she laughed for hours#-o ) I just wanted to show how burgers look with eggs inside of them :- (the one to the righ, yep that's an egg) I've been around the world and the only place I've seen burgers with eggs is here... I dont like them that way but most people here do, including thundergirl... Thundergirl's meal for friday... jalapeño bacon cheese burger with fries, ready to go... (that's when she walked in on me)
Homz Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I do like jalapenos on my burgers. Egg sounds like it would be good.
wicked1 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I've seen the egg on the hamburger thing on TV, but I can't remember where they were visiting. I'm not fond enough of hamburgers (yes, I know--I'm un-American. Now you have 1 more reason to believe that) to really want one with egg too!
harmonicchaos Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I can't have the spicy foods... I think I'd like eggs on a hamburger. One time I had a fit at a supermarket because their Cobb salad didn't have eggs. I call that an abomination!! I probably freaked out some people. I was ready to go to the manager and demand eggs but a family member calmed me down. Needless to say I was having a bad day and this was the final straw. The fries look like the need to be crispier though.

Californiaman Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Yeah buddy, that's the way you do it! You put the egg in the hamburger and then you eat it all up. You put the egg in the hamburger and then you eat it all up. And then you call the doctor and the doctor says he's got the cure. You put the egg in the hamburger and then you eat it all up.
Thundergod Posted April 25, 2009 Author Posted April 25, 2009 The fries look like the need to be crispier though. That's what she said... :- Here stores sell 3 kinds of potatoes... only 1 is good to make fries, and that day I only had those good for soup... but I fried them anyway... better than burgers and potato soup:-&

I cannot drink till monday and then I'll have to work and won't be able to drink till friday](*,) )
wicked1 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Question: is the yolk of that egg still runny? or is it cooked all the way through?
Thundergod Posted April 25, 2009 Author Posted April 25, 2009 Question: is the yolk of that egg still runny? or is it cooked all the way through? still runny... :-

wicked1 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 still runny... Ugh! None for me, thanks. I'll just take the jalapenos, bacon, and cheese...

I love em. :-
retrosurfer1959 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Nope - That's wrong on many levels a egg McMuffin ok for breakfast sometimes but a egg on a hamburger, what is that the cholesterol special? I probably shouldn't get a vote though I can't stand eggs if there runny at all it's actually the only thing I'll send back or scrape off in a restaurant to me a egg has to be well done or scrambled dry or I don't even want to see it.
Thundergod Posted April 25, 2009 Author Posted April 25, 2009 Ugh! None for me' date=' thanks. I'll just take the jalapenos, bacon, and cheese...[/quote'] Ok... but just because you are a redhead:-"
wicked1 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I'm the same way, retrosurfer! If I fry an egg, I break the yolk so that it cooks all the way through. However, I do *not* like my eggs to brown in any way. Yes, I'm very picky about my eggs!

[/quote'] You know, I've said the same thing over and over but no one around here listens... (the one to the left is mine: no egg) (it does taste good tho, but just not "burger-y", more like a club sandwich=p~ ).

wicked1 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 It just occurs to me--we eat steak & eggs for breakfast. Don't know why it would be so weird to put an egg on a burger.
djroge1 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 still runny... If they were cooked hard I might consider trying it.

(had diner a couple of hours ago) The Quadruple Bypass burger absolutely cracked me up! I especially love the sides of Jolt cola (TONS of caffeine, if you aren't familiar with it) and unfiltered Lucky Strikes. The only thing that could make it more deadly is if it came with a Viagra!
