saddle for L-OO

I think my saddle was shaved down a little too much. I would like to buy a few of them to experiment . Where can I find them? I looked under accessories on this website but ;no go. Thank you.

Many on the forum get saddles from Bob Colosi

General Information - Guitar Saddles

I've gotten saddles from him and they are good, but I think too pricey for experimenting.

I've always kept a stock of blanks and make them from scratch.

I would suggest something like these if it's a drop in saddle.

If it's long through saddle then it's a little more working in the end radius

Alternatively if your L 00 does not have electronics (or it has them but you do not use them)  you  can cut a thin strip off a business card , and that will give you enough height . Gibson even talks about that method in a video ,around the  7 minutes and 50 seconds mark :

I use this method with a few of my Gibsons and have great success with it .

Good info. I wonder if they sell shims that are different widths. I don't feel qualified to do this work. I have done the business card deal but it didn't work for me.

I would fear a muting effect with paper.

Agree. Paper, or card stock would not transfer sound, very well at all, I think.  i've got shims that appear to be made out of those extremely thin 'gift cards' and similar plastic cards that sometimes come in the mail attached to a letter with a blob of glue. But, I opted to just get a new saddle and fit it.  Costs only a little more from the same source!
