pippy
just wondering what the standar height of the gibson picl-ups are. stupid question' date=' i know '](*,) Not stupid in the least. Actually a very good question. According to an early Gibson instruction book; "...approximately 1/16th of an inch (1.5mm) from the underside of the string to the top of the pickup when the string is depressed at the last fret of the fingerboard". vagabond
standards are fine, but I suspect that that marker is factory standard for Gibsons. I know I, along with many others on this forum, drop our pickups pretty far down into the ring. gives you a softer, warmer tone. Check out what RichCI said in other threads for more information.
