Nick Beach Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I know the red tag means the guitar is a second, but where can we get one? I think a second would do the job that I need it to do. I know a lot of people will say, get a used guitar, and I may end up doing that. But for a little bit of future refrence how does Gibson handle there B-stock?
Dynadude Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 As far as I know, Gibson stopped selling "seconds" many years ago. The "B" stock items you see for sale at the larger retailers and catalog stores are damaged or returned guitars. Not really a "second", but more like "used".
Geff Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I was under the impression Gibson now have a policy of destroying "seconds" rather than releasing them onto the market. From what I have seen, however, a guitar has to be pretty bad to not get through their fairly lax QC process.
