Anyone ever heard anything about this amp? Seems like a sweet deal esp for an all tube amp

Sounds too goo to be true but idk

(Feature wise it has nothing but thats why god invented pedals!)

but I never trust the people that review the item on the seller site, ever, and u guys def know ur stuff so what you guys think, too good to be true?

I would be running my Les Paul Studio Plus through it so thats why its in this thread....

Though it's hard to tell from a video, the head/cab version sounds much nicer than the combo from what I've seen. I especially liked the Guitar World demonstration. I really like the option of being able to switch in a number of different tubes to suit your liking. Also, the built in attenuator is a nice feature. As for looks, I think it's pretty nifty ... I dig it. Provided it holds up (meaning it's made well), it looks like a steal. If you're in the market for a new amp I think it's worth checking out for sure.

At $400 including shipping, I pulled the trigger. I played one like a year ago and liked it alot, thought about getting one at $600. but $400 shipped i can't say no.

I am very tempted to buy this, throw some pedals on it, prob get some new tubes in it and make it roar haha. Man o man, what to do haha. 9 years of playing and ive never even played through a tube amp so you can imagine why i want to play through one so bad

I think you deserve to step up to tubes at this point, man! For the price, I don't think you can go wrong. Will provide a lot of versatility ... give you a chance to experiment with different tubes to figure out what you like ... has some nice built in features ... and won't break the bank stepping up to a tube amp. I'm seriously stunned at the price. Even though I already have a couple Marshall's I love playing through, I'm almost tempted to grab one of those based on price alone. Go for it, dude.

Thats another reason why I want one (and I'm prob gonna go ahead and get it). As I got into electric guitar and advanced my playing, I realised that there is so much more you can do with guitars and amps other than take them out of the box and play them. I know that sounds noobish but ive been teaching myself how to play since I was 10 and I didnt think there was much more to guitar playing than lookin at some tabs and scales and restringing now and then haha.

Damn all this talk got me look-in for a Head.:D/

Found a used one with Groove Tubes (EL34's) like new for 149.99.

Should be here in a day or two. These are a Great Deal and Cheep.

Should sound Pretty good with these maybe after replacing the shitty Power Transformer with a Chrome Mercury Magnitics beauty.

I have heard a LOT of good things about them. As with all Peavey's though consider having it re biased (If it is adjustable, I am not sure on that) as Peavel loves to bias thier amps cold so the tubes last longer. I personlly like peavey amps. I love em when they have had the tubes replaced and the biased set properly. The xXx my friend had was one of the most amazing amps I have ever heard and despite his best efforts in trying to upgrade to a "better" amp he just couldn't find one that beat what he already had.

Your right about Peaveys and your right about the Biasing of the valves.

A good hot Bias of 70% of the plate voltage makes every amp Hotter sounding.

Who cares if you loose a few hrs on the tubes, its well worth it.

I have the combo version (Studio), due to space & transportation constraints. I can't complain at all about this amp. I get the nicest tones, and paired up with my Gibby LP Studio, I am in tone nirvana for any Led Zepp stuff... Incredible deal!

Really hope that video don't do that amp justice...

If the sound is anywhere near that, then I can get a hellowa lot better sound of a my Cube 30X :D

Yea and a million others too. It's a cheep made in china 150 100-120 watt 4xEL34 valve amp with shitty transformers and I think only 3 12ax7's.

Wasn't expecting much and I'm pleasantly suprised. It's got balls when you run it up to 6,7 and 8 with the Gain Pegged and the Clean running through this one is Great on off. I have only run it through some low end Clestions silver series a old 4x12 cab, problably better sound-in than the stock cab that goes with this head and no where as go sounding than Celestion Vintage 30's (my fav).

It can use a Hotter Bias and some Grovetube Mullard XF2 reissue's and the Sovtek 12AX7LPS and a nice Mercury Magnitics Chrome Power transformer, BUT

It is what it is and it is Cheep
