OrdinaryNimda
Did we have this guitar on the forum? (I checked the first 2 pages of "The Lounge") OK, it costs more than a 50s Standard, but this guy really makes it sing.
kidblast
Definitely a steel at $9,999.00 these could easily fetch $10,000.00

Yawn. Yeah another overpriced replica guitar. It’s just like when Henry was in charge except this guy has a beard. I’m pissed it’s not another Slash one. Does Gibson think everyone wants 50’s replica LP’s? What guitars did guys in the 50’s want? Hey Gibson do all the replicas LP’s Joe Bonamassa has acquired from the rock and roll elite. Note to buyer - it won’t make you sound like Jeff. Edited June 29 by Sgt. Pepper
Dub-T-123
I’m on the fence. I like the mismatched plastic and love a good 59 reissue, but whatever they did to “age” the finish looks super cheesy and unrealistic to me. Not to mention JB died somewhat recently and at first glance it’s hard to tell if JB had any involvement with this or if it’s purely capitalizing on his name If I wanted this I would definitely just change the pickups/plastics on a gloss R9 or Standard but of course I understand this is intended more for collectors
sparquelito
I do love the looks and features of that guitar. But not 10,000 bones worth. 🙂

Larsongs
I’ve got a 90’s Heritage Cherry Gibson Les Paul Std Plus with 490R & 490T’s that IMO is better looking & sounds excellent. I also have a 2015 Gibson Memphis Blacktop ES Les Paul with MHS pickups & a B-7 Bigsby that is a killer Guitar. I also have a mid 2000’s Gibson Les Paul Special with P90’s that is totally badass. I bought all 3 New for less than this Guitar! Throw in my 2013 Gibson Memphis ES-335 & all 4 still cost less. I’ve been a Jeff Beck fan since I saw him in the Yardbirds when I was a young guy. But, I wouldn’t pay that kind of money for that Guitar. I’m blown away at what the Price is for Guitars today. A good USA Guitar, Acoustic or Electric, starts at $3000.00.. And that’s the entry price!

Soon it’s just gonna make limited runs on stuff for collectors and TM reliced stuff. People who really want them will have to save up or go without. Or if your that rich person you can lay your cash down. Edited June 29 by Sgt. Pepper

SteveFord
Didn't he smash a Les Paul on a bus and then he quit the band? I wonder if they recreated the coveted dent mark where it hit the sink in the bathroom and then bounced off of the toilet, that would justify the price tag right there. The I Just Quit The Band Porcelain Paul. Comes in Underwear Stain Brown Burst and I Took My Vitamins Today Neon Yellow. When I think JB LP’s, I think about the one on the back cover of Wired. Wasn’t that about the time he moved on to Strat’s & never looked back?
SteveFord
I'm not sure, I know he played a lot of Telecasters. I did read an interview where he wasn't sure which guitar to go with, a Les Paul or a Stratocaster, but he decided that if Jimi Hendrix played a Strat that would be the way to go. On an unrelated note, I saw a picture of Mick Taylor with a non-reverse Firebird V back in the Stones days. I never saw him with one before. It was Jeff Beck, just about at his best. And that would be the Les Paul I would think Gibson would base a sig model on. To me, that one that this thread is all about, is pretty much a swing and a miss. and yea, $10k, dats just nuttz
Phil OKeefe
I agree - Blow By Blow is one of my favorite albums of all time. We did a limited run of Jeff Beck's heavily-modded '54 Les Paul – the Oxblood – back in... 2009? Something like that. There may have been another run of them prior to that, too. As far as I know, this is the first time we've recreated Jeff's first Les Paul - the YardBurst.

Stupid money, like 4 and 5 thousand dollars. They were really nice. rct

One will show up eventually, or may show up if you check for previously completed auctions/sales.

By 2030 Gibsons will be insanely priced (if they aren’t already). It’s the way you want it. I used to love them, but I’m mostly here for guitar porn. At least if I’m looking at GP, my wife won’t catches me in an uncompromising position with my hand down my pants. Edited July 1 by Sgt.
