GuitarLynn
I have recently picked up a L-50 guitar from the '50's that plays and sounds great. Unfortunately the original trapeze tailpiece had broken and the owner made somewhat of a functional repair. I was under the impression that StewMac or WD Music offered reproduction pieces that could easily resolve this lone issue. Unfortunately the mounting piece is the large "cloverleaf" shape which has the endpin in the the center which doesn't seem to be currently offered on the repro market. I would prefer to keep the guitar as original as possible and would like to avoid any new holes or relocating the endpin which is an option that I am faced with considering. Does anyone happen to have one of these tailpieces with the large cloverleaf mount stashed away that they would be willing to sell? It would be greatly appreciated and help keep a vintage instrument unchanged!

GuitarLynn
Thanks Grog, I sure wish that they made a reproduction clamp end that was a match since the hinge seems to be the piece that commonly breaks on these tailpieces!
