Basshole
Strickly solos, no rhythm. What kind of guitar would you choose for its solo's qaulities?
RichCI
Pretty much anything although probably something with larger frets than I normally use just to make bending a little easier. On the whole, I prefer smaller frets for chords as I tend to be heavy handed and bend the strings over the frets which makes the guitar sound out of tune when using larger frets. I don't play very high up on the neck that much so having high fret access isn't a big issue where others might prefer an SG or Strat over a Les Paul or Tele. RichCI
A Peavey Vandenberg was one of my favorite guitars in the music store where I worked back in the early 90's and I'd say you're very right about that, AXE. The bridge pups in those things were KILLER too.

RichCI
Sweet! And, fortunately, not a pink one. I'd love to get one but, the times when I've looked for them on Ebay, the ones listed almost always had replacement pickups in them.

rocketman
I tried out an Ibanez JEM77V and it felt like I was playing on smooth ice. The sound didn't do it for me, but I think it's the ultimate shredding guitar...
