Michael Mars
I know Gibson is supposed to plek all their guitar before they ship. That said, is there any reason I should have a new les paul custom plek setup when I buy it? I would think a standard setup would be fine. Sgt. Pepper
Is the PLEK’ed guitar set up how you like it? I’ve only bought one new Gibson and I’m not sure if they had those machines then. Edited August 1 by Sgt. Pepper
oliveramberg
As far as I know does Gibson plek the guitars before the final assembly. This makes the guitar play on a high level. That said, I did plek my new Les Paul Standard '60s after a scan that showed some potential to make it even better. After the plek-job the guitar played even better. How and where did you get your guitar scanned. The only thing I ever scan is my groceries in the self checkout line.
