When someone announces a New Guitar Day - even when it's a Martin - the appropriate response is "Well Done". I realize some think Social Media is the perfect place to vent and spew, but for a NGD - it's better to say nothing if you can't dig deep and congratulate someone. 1

That was not being sarcastic. It is one hell of a new guitar day for 2 songs. The white I like a lot more. Probably cause of Alex and Don. Yes congrats are in order. I was a bit of a jerk. Sorry about that. My favorite NGD was when I got my D-41, and someone called it - gaudy. I guess cause there are no animals with feathers on the pickguard?

Hotel California and Stairway as if you couldn't guess. I played an Epiphone version last time and the action was way too high. Got this one online from Nashville and apparently it was set up by a custom shop guy (this is a 1997 model, before it became custom shop and is Gibson Standard). Preliminarily plays like a dream with perfect action for me. LOVE it! video your performance and let us watch!

Chief, As you know, I'm a life-long Martin guy, but I like my guitars no fancier than a D-28, or D-35, so yes, I said your D-41 was too gaudy for me. But I like bread and cheese, so we can still be friends. RBSinTo

RBSinTo 😁 If you ever head up this way, my favorite lunch happens to be bread and cheese, and you don’t need to go in the guitar room, or feel free to don some heavy duty shades 😎 ✨✨✨ Edited August 18 by PrairieDog
RBSinTo
PrairieDog, Roughly where is "up this way"? I only ask because I recently got some new clip-on sunglasses, so maybe I'll pop by for a sammich and sneak a peek at your guitars. We’re about 4 hours south, in the newly recognized bit of flyover country called “Minnesota.” 😀 Edited August 18 by PrairieDog

And you're in Minnesota? I've heard of that place. Isn't that where they make Scotch Tape? If I come to visit, can you get me a couple of rolls? I had the best dish I’ve ever eaten at a hole in the wall Vietnamese place in Hamilton, funny enough! And yes, every year we get issued a new supply of Scotch Tape (and Lucky Charms), so there is plenty to take home 😁

While in bed my girlfriend begged me to kiss her where it smells..... so I drove her to Hamilton. (sound of rimshot and cymbal in the background). I thought the same thing😀 Funny enough I've already looked for a stand that culd hold it during the gig. I even wrote to a German manufacturer to see if it would work and they said no. I do like the trapeze wire idea. Just can't be a mixture like Stonehenge.

Tman, I assume this guitar cost $150.00 or $200.00 anyway, so I wouldn't even consider propping it up on a stand of any kind during a gig. In, or out of the case only, for peace of mind and guitar in one piece. RBSinTo
