Phoenix
That's an odd one, cool artwork though.
Dynadude
Cool, and took some guts and talent, but not for me. I'm too much of a traditionalist to go that far off. It would be great for a horror rock band though.

rocketman
I'm tired of both my jokes and my face (he he he). I kinda like the guitar. I always wanted one wacky guitar, but I've got way too many on my list to get first before I do something like this one...
zippy
I guess it's pretty cool. Good sculpture all around. But the paint job seems to lack as far as highlights and details.....
BlackHawk233
speaking of guitar painting, I am refinishing my Behringer currently, Biggest surprise is thats its MAPLE (omg!!!) underneath.
rocketman
Its cool looking but I would guess it would be real uncomfortable to play. You would not be able to rest your forearm on the guitar; the paint would rub off really quickly and I love the last line; No Guarantees on anything being original equipment. Hey maybe its a chinese knock off that got carved up. He wants way too much cash also. I would give him 300 for it' date=' no way I would do his buy it now price. Will be interesting to see if it even sells.[/quote'] He also had it on craigslist (see here). He claimed another one sold for $2800. I don't buy that though.... ScottWilson
I'm prob to late for anyone to see my post, but wanted to say hi. This is my snake guitar, and I was very discouraged when it didn't sell. but I guess they can't all be home runs. I appreciate the nice comments and respect the others. although the guys who said it was the ugliest LP they have ever seen could have been a little more gentle. I may not like the music you play but I would never say it was the worst music I ever heard, at least not publicly. Putting any kind of art out into the world is like standing naked in front of the world and asking for input, it's scary, I would think musicians would get a little taste of that and be more understanding. For the elitists I NEVER carve up a vintage and only use flat tops or studios. these guitars don't get alot of respect in the Gibby world anyway, they are great guitars they just don't have anything fancy about them. I just fancy them up. I use Gibbys because they are a big slab of mahogany and beautiful when left natural. The snakes look much better in person, Strange how people even question my integrity from an ebay auction isn't it? my darker dragon in the picture sold for $2800 in less than 6 hours and the reaper in picture went for $1500 in less than a day also. the natural dragon was an Epi with a repaired neck and sold for around $400 and I think is for sale on ebay now by the guy who bought it. I thought offering to fix the sculpted part of the guitar forever for free was pretty generous, and which of you would sell a used guitar and garantee the parts. It has a pro set up and sounds awesome. Its very light and comfortable to play not awkward at all. If anyone is in the Cape Coral Ft. Myers area you are very welcome to play it and feel and hear how great it is. I have another flat top I am carving into a big pile of skulls, It's looking cool but if it doesn't go I'll prob be frustrated and bail on this idea. wish me luck and thanks for looking Scott. ScottWilson
You're 100 percent right about my wording in the ad, after I read your post I reread it the way you must have heard it, and it sounded cheezy and not what I meant at all. and I hope I didn't come across to abrasive in that post, I don't mind critisism a bit. BIGBENDS
ScottW, you carved those bad boys? WoW! Excellent. It would be *****in to have the door to my studio carved in a creative way like that. Good goin', brother.

NeoConMan
Scott, Not my cup of tea - by a long shot - but I do appreciate the effort and skill involved in producing the final product. Hope they sell well and your work is vindicated. (Just don't ask to borrow any of MY Les Pauls.) :-)
jchabalk
these are sweet! how many hours do you put in on each if you don't mind my asking? It looks like you really put a painstaking amount of attention to detail into each one! Also - ever have to send one back to nashville for warranty work? i'd love to see their faces when they open that case i tried to carve a pipe once out of a piece of briar didn't work out so well. I'd hate to see a LP if i got it in my hands with intent to carve!
ScottWilson
ooooh how bout that natural finished Tele then Neo ? It would make an awesome Dragon
ScottWilson
The hours into one depends, I've carved so many eagles and dragons over the years I can do them in my sleep. but the snake thing was something new I was trying, so it was a nightmare from the git-go. it sat on the workbench for a couple years actually, and I carved other guitars around it I can put out something familiar in about a month if I work steady. NeoConMan
The Tele will remain unmolested, thanks.... :-) send one back to nashville for warranty work? i'd love to see their faces when they open that case Hah! I could see it now..... "Yeah, the note in the case says he's having some trouble with the finish...." Scott, dumb question maybe. How many of these guitars do you buy used? jchabalk
i wonder if they'd still drop the "humidity warning" letter into the case when they returned it
