Notes_Norton
I gig where people serve alcohol. I call my minivan the bumper car. I have no ambition for anything else, as long as it runs, holds all my music gear, and the AC works, I'm happy. My life is so satisfied, I gig for a living, I have a musician wife who is my duo-mate, best friend, and lover, the mortgage is paid off, I don't have much, but I have no debt, and we are both healthy. Everything else is extra. When this bumper car dies, I'll look for another. It's my 4th minivan since the mid 1980s, and I've gotten well over 200k miles on each. When I was younger I used to dream about Ferrari's, and I had a sports car that I drove to 135mph (and got a ticket), but I couldn't haul my gear in it, and it cost me a lot of money in tickets and insurance. SteveFord
The only car I ever drove that I liked was my first one, a 67 289 Mustang, a $400 pea green job, auto, hard top, blue front quarter panel. It was a lot of fun. Maybe a Jaguar XKE convertible would be it.

I guess it's technically a muscle car, when you think about it. Because, well, burning dinosaurs thru a 4bbl carburetor just appeals to me lately. 😃 Two of my older brothers were into those mid 60 Old 442 models, they had a couple each. Beautiful cars.

Very nice car as I recall, and my wife who often drove it when they took roadtrips, always commented on how fast it was. Best of luck on your auto-lust quest. Thankyouverymuch RBSinTo It's technically more like: A 442 Sparky wants to possess Over that car he's downright obsessed But whenever he searches, you know he ends up scrolling thru porno And ends up with DNA on his nightdress I really better shut up now. 🥲

We can all dream 🙂 I first thought. I dont have a 'dream car'. Then I remembered John Steed's (Avengers) 1930 Bentley in BRG. I wanted one of those . Then I caught your post. In reality, its probably difficult to drive. No auto- gearbox etc. What style though! I have a 2013 Toyota Yaris and a 2022 Mazda MX5 (Miata). Both are very low milage because I walk everywhere.

Ceptorman
When I was a sophomore in high school, I had one of my dream cars and didn't realize it, it was a 1971 Cutlass Supreme I bought from my older brother. I was blue with white interior. I sold it and bought a 1969 Cutlass 442. It was faster and I blew the Muncie transmission out of it and scrapped the car. I wish I still had either one now. A Dream Car is a Dream Car. That is definitely one! Modern Classics are really popular now. The big Classic Car Auctions like Barrett Jackson & Mecum are filled with them.
fortyearspickn
Interesting story in news this week out of Miami Beach Aspiring car thief broke into a really nice, new Corvette in a parking garage. Couldn't get it started, couldn't get out. High end, sophisticated car theft security. Had to wait for the owner to come and then the cops. $2,500 bail. Wonder if the idiot could drive a manual transmission.?
