Intro & Mystery 70's SG!

Hello!

I'm Sam, from the UK.

Always loved Angus Young's playing so decided at some point I was going to get an SG.

Well, I got one! From what I have been told and can tell, it was made in the mid 70s and there's not a whole lot original if anything! Would love to hear some thoughts and potential new facts! It was sold to me as an "SG special" but here's some odd things about it.

Photos here - https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/12t60j5SYQGhQGTrFur976YTZGGty_Zr6

- Gibson crown logo, looking at catalogues, this only made an appearance on standard models.

- Schallers tuners, I'm told a lot of people changed the stock for these.

- Brass nut!

- Two non original mini humbuckers. Looking at 70's specials these would've been black plastic covered ones and not what we have here. The bridge pickup is embossed with the Gibson logo which I believe was only done for the Les Paul Deluxe in 1972! Another strange thing is that there are no screw holes for previous pickup surrounds? Any ideas as to what may have been the case with this?

- replacement intonation bridge

- Gibson branded TP-6 tailpiece

- Witch hats (of course!)

If anyone thinks they may have some interesting info or ideas on this one, let me know!

All the best,

Sam
