Michael Mars
I've posted a few times here without saying hello first so... hello I was raised in a rock household. Always music playing or being played. Classically trained piano player from age 6, started guitar at 12. Slash, and Jimmy Paige, were the musicians I wanted to be. Both Gibson players. Marshall amps too, but that's a differnt forum. I've tried many other guitars, and always ended up with Gibson. They just feel right in my hands. Others in my life criticize my dedication to Gibson, saying that I could do better for less $$, but I think they just don't get it. I've tried better for less $$ and felt lacking. I know there are other guitars out there that are worthy of praise, but let others have them I say. tx-ogre
My first 5 guitars were new Gibsons. I then bought a used Firebird VII that I never really bonded with and eventually sold. The only guitar I ever sold. I then wanted to add a 7 string to my collection so I had to buy something other than a Gibson. Bought an Ltd and have been very happy with it. Then I won an Ltd 6 string as a prize. For my last purchase, I wanted an 8 string so again I had to buy something other than a Gibson. Decided on an Ibanez RG8. I can honestly say I like all of them.
