I heard the Carolinas got it pretty bad with the leading edge of Hurricane Helene! 🙂  Just got rain. Places like Ashville got pounded. The storm came inland instead of going towards the Atlantic. kidblast Posted September 29 Posted September 29 It's insanity really. Makes no sense at all. In the last few years of me working full time we paid off all our credit cards, mortgage, and the loan on one of our vehicles. the other was already paid off. I lost points on my credit score every time we paid something down. It recovered and it's all good but, just stuff that makes you scratch your head. But if anyone is wondering, Obviously, they want us in debt. 1 Quote
fortyearspickn Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Guitars to interest rates...  Let's throw another log on the fire !   Companies Human Resources Departments are using Credit Scores to determine applicants 'references'.  In other words, the lazy clerks in Employment -  unable to get other lazy clerks in HR at the previous employer to divulge ANYTHING about ex-employees, have resorted to deciding if you'd be a good, dependable worker - if you have a good Credit Score.  If I weren't retired - I'd never be able to fire OR hire anyone.  I guess we all need to be employed by AND in debt 'to the Company Store'. 1 Quote
