Same here.   Use to be a staple.  Don't know where there are any 'restaurants' (if any) now.    They do sell them in the Frozen Food section of our grocery store chain here.    White and blue,  shoe box size full of sliders.  Taste like crap.   Don't know if they've gotten worse or I've become more of a connoisseur.

I think I read once there are only 11 or 13 states that have W C Restaurants, if you can call them that, in the US. I recently went to Michigan for a show and they have them. Ohio too, as I drove through to get the Michigan. I know NJ and NY have them, cause I’ve eaten them there.

I believe that one of the most prolific contributors here, 4Hayden, passed away last month. Massive apologies if wrong, but fairly sure I’m not. He was the all-time leading poster when he left this forum about 5 years ago, and (checking the ‘leaderboard’ above) still is #3 just ahead of CB.

i guess we are all survived by our social media presence these days, which is weird to say the least.

I think people sometimes aren’t even sure of their own position on things. They pick a side and then present it to social media, seeking validation, either through other like minded individuals or by winning an argument (or throwing the most caustic barbs and claiming victory through that).  Keyboard warriors. It’s human nature I guess, and it takes a conscious effort to not be one.

Having hobbies, friends and family are the perfect cure for repelling unchecked narcissism..... which I'm sad to say is what Facebook / Social Media does to some folks.

As for the Gibson Forum.... It's a guitar forum and if you actually play guitar, a portion of your time could be better served at playing the guitar, and actually getting better at being a musician and sharing what makes you better,  rather than complain, complain, complain.

Threads like this (APB on a member that don't post here anymore) and to speculate reasons why they don't post on the Gibson Forum anymore is a bit odd to me. But like others have stated CB seemed to be a solid contributor at one point in his time here, but I only knew him as a fellow forum member.... And whatever he's doing now, I hope all is well.

Sure but this may be the only place where they know how to, and and where to correspond with CB in hopes he may lurk back in.

I’m sure Farce Books original intention was a way in the digital age to connect with people you know. The whole phony baloney about, I have 3265 Farce Book friends, but never actually have been in the same room with 3255 of them is a joke. And F B morphed into a place to post Neo-Nazi propaganda BS. Oh and a place to play Farmville.

If it were priority for CB to make a path available for Gibson forum members to communicate with him, then he would be posting here, or providing some other lines of communication....... People priorities change over time.

As for what Facebooks original intentions are, I'm of the opinion it's number one priority has always been to make money.

Well we’re Capitalist, so yeah.

1st Farce Book pre start up meeting checklist

1. Make $

2. Make software so people can connect and make Fake Friends

3. Invent stupid game that takes place on a digital farm

4. Let the nut job political zealous idiots post government propaganda

Mission Accomplished

I'm not a deep diver as to what FB's business model is, and what it uses to lure people in. I haven't posted on FB in over 8 years, so I could care less about all the incidental business practices that takes place over there.

For me and my circle, FB is not  medium I choose to harbor in.

Despite multiple requests from friends and family, I have never had a FacePlant, InstaSpam, Twit-ter or SnapShat account.  Always figured I had anything else better to do than waste my time frequenting them.

an ‘oddly good’ question then! 🙂

If this thread hadn’t started I wouldn’t have looked at the all time posting record re CB, then thought of 4Hayden and spotted his recent passing, which is  sad and might be meaningful to those closer to him here.

Hey, its all oddly good 👍

I’m on FB. I have less of a filter there. I don’t post a lot of political stuff; others do it and I’m amused but I no longer feel compelled to do so. I have been a bad boy over there, to the point of having my profile from 2011-2021 wiped clean and flushed by Zuck. Not political, just disgusting humor. FB, like anything, is what you make it. If there’s something you don’t like, you don’t have to engage. People forget that. And if nothing else, I’ve bought and sold a LOT on Marketplace. I think of FB as a giant seedy rat infested strip mall with lots of ripoff scam stores but I have some friends that hang out at the Orange Julius and there’s a Harbor Freight right next to a consignment shop.

My issue were "friends" and family were going at it and it just was too embarrassing. And I wasn't comfortable with people I went to grade school trying "friend me" that I haven't spoke to since, or barely spoke to when I was a kid.... even those from high school and junior high. I left all that in the past and I just wanted to keep it there. Then colleagues from work wanted to friend me, and that was one of the final straws, as I don't want an outside relationship with people from work.

I'm pretty comfortable here with most folks, there are the very small few I stay away from (and Sgt. Peppers isn't one of them lol). But overall I don't minding posting about certain aspects going on in my life around these parts.

Well there is two of you "FZFan" from your previous perma-ban....

Same person with a name change, but it seemed more like a mini-ban, as someone unbanned me. My only power here is to post. Banning is your super power.

I got on FarceBook in its early days - when it was the rage.  In a couple of months, realized it was more like monkeys screeching at each other from their cages than a civilized, intelligent discussion 'forum'.  Haven't been back since.

But in those early days - the story that was going round - in the media -  was that Zuckerberg had 'stolen' the idea from 3 Harvard students who had created "ConnectU.com" as a simple social media platform 'game'.   After years in court - he had to pay them $65M.  The premise was - although they created the concept, one was Indian and the other two were on athletic scholarships, so they didn't have the ability to really elevate it to a Goliath.   Hence the paltry payday.

People say  "Absolute Power Corrupts."   I think it's Money that really does it.  Power is just the vehicle.   Narcissists aside.

$ didn’t corrupt me, cause I don’t have any. I did it all by myself.

As stated, I posted some nasty stuff and ultimately got me erased. When I say “nasty” I mean humorous memes that I shared, not from a poisoned keyboard. The final straw was a three paneled meme. The meme was entitled “if 2020 was a meme”.  In the first panel it showed a close up of a young boy holding a pair of nail clippers up against one of his front teeth. In the next panel it showed a (now) broken tooth. In the final panel it showed the young boy taking a big bite out of an ice cream cone. FB said it promoted self injury and erased me with zero chance of appeal. Funny thing is…. I copied the meme from Facebook.

That’s funny cause on TV there are shows with rapes happening, murders, suicides and on an on. And that’s just on the Disney channel.

I was in a couple groups on FB that showed Cartel and Isis videos. It’s all about burying them in the comments. They don’t seem to pick up on that. These videos are beyond what most normal people could even dream up. If I described some of what I saw, you’d say, no, one human being would never do that to another human being. Yes, they would. And they do. And I go to FB jail because a FUNNY meme happens to feature a famous person from the 40s with a weird little mustache.  Picture that person in full arm raised salute, with the caption “anyone seen Gary? He’s about this tall”. I thought it was a riot. Zuck did not.  And you guys wonder why I don’t come in guns a blazing because someone bent a rule a little. I don’t act until it’s a plague.
